Work Transformation

The new workforce combines people and AI agents.

People bring context, judgment and accountability. AI agents contribute analysis, drafting and execution within agreed boundaries. Their capabilities keep changing. The work succeeds when their responsibilities, decisions and handoffs fit together.

The workflow is where they work together.

A workflow connects the contributions of people and agents to a business outcome. It defines who does what, which evidence supports a decision, when work moves to someone else, and what happens when something goes wrong.

AI changes that division of work. An existing role may take on new responsibilities without changing its title. A new agent may join a familiar process. Start with the work that needs to change and the tools you already use, then decide how much of the workflow needs to be reimagined.

Capable individuals can still fail together.

An agent can produce a good recommendation and a person can make a sound decision, yet the workflow can still break. The recommendation may arrive too late, lack the evidence the person needs, or reach someone who has no authority to act. Neither contribution is enough on its own.

Simulations make those connections visible. Rehearse normal work alongside missing information, conflicting outputs, delays and exceptions. Observe the agent's contribution, the person's response and the handoff between them. Use what you learn to refine the design and the preparation it needs.

Illustrative role preparation: FDE

From a stakeholder conversation to a demonstrated solution.

A Forward Deployed Engineer connects a customer's business problem to a working solution. The FDE discovers the workflow and its constraints, agrees a bounded problem, and builds in a sandbox with the scenario's data and tools. An AI agent can help draft code and tests; the FDE verifies the work and demonstrates it to the stakeholder.

When the problem and scope are clear

The FDE agrees the problem, available data, constraints and decision owners with the stakeholder. The agent helps with the build inside that scope. The FDE checks its outputs and explains how the solution addresses the agreed problem.

When the proposed solution assumes unavailable data

The agent produces convincing code that depends on data the customer cannot provide. The FDE recognizes the unsupported assumption, returns to the stakeholder and revises the problem or build scope before proceeding.

What the simulation should reveal

Can the FDE uncover the real problem, question an agent's assumptions and handle the missing data? Does the agent work within the agreed boundaries? Can the stakeholder understand the demonstration, its limits and the decisions they need to make? Review these as separate questions about the same workflow.

In discovery practice, an AI-simulated stakeholder helps assess the FDE's questioning and judgment. That differs from evaluating an agent contributing to the build. This illustrative workflow describes preparation; customer approval and production acceptance are separately agreed.

Reimagine a workflow your teams already run.

Existing teams can work differently without taking on a new job title. Define the agent contribution, the human decisions and the handoffs, then rehearse the situations that make the work difficult.

Sales and creative teams already use AI. Reimagine how the brief, research, pitch, scripts and client revisions move between them.

Client feedback returns to the draft for revision.
AI and agent contribution
Prepare pitch options, scripts and revision summaries using the agreed brief and source material.
Human responsibility
Sales clarifies the client need. Creative specialists check the idea, language, pronunciation and authenticity. The client reviews the final work.
What the simulation tests
Rehearse a rejected draft: the output follows the brief, but the voice or pronunciation feels wrong. Check the AI contribution, the specialist review and how client feedback reaches the next version.

From investigation evidence to a reviewed report.

Investigators use their approved AI tools to review evidence and write findings. Reimagine how source records, analysis, drafting and human review connect.

Unsupported findings return to the draft for correction.
AI and agent contribution
Organize the approved evidence, suggest connections and draft findings with references to the source records.
Human responsibility
The investigator verifies the findings, checks confidentiality and relevant policies, and prepares the report for human review. The client decides the next action.
What the simulation tests
Rehearse a convincing draft that overstates the evidence. Check its source references, the investigator's verification and the handoff to the authorized reviewer. Correct unsupported conclusions and identify what needs further investigation.

These are illustrative redesign and practice scenarios. Begin with your approved tools. Agree whether practice uses those tools or a separate environment, and scope responsibilities and acceptance criteria around your own work.

Readiness needs three kinds of evidence.

A course completion, an agent benchmark and a working handoff answer different questions. Keep the evidence distinct, then review it against the workflow you intend to operate.

EvidenceWhat it needs to show
Human capabilityWhat a person can demonstrate: applying context, checking outputs, making authorized decisions and handling exceptions. Skill Validation Assessments provide evidence for the human responsibilities and scenarios assessed.
Agent behaviorHow the selected agent behaves against agreed criteria: using the permitted tools and evidence, staying within its authority, and escalating when it cannot proceed. Human skill assessments do not establish this.
Shared workflowWhether the combined sequence works in the agreed scenarios: information reaches the right owner, decisions respect authority, and exceptions have a usable path. The organization's operating owners decide acceptance for real use.

Nuvepro helps you reimagine shared work and connect it to simulations and readiness evidence. Project Readiness prepares people for their part in that work. Agent evaluation and review of the combined workflow need their own agreed scope, tools and acceptance criteria. Preparation evidence informs the operating decision; it does not replace integration, security review or production acceptance.

Onboard to the work, then revisit it as it changes.

When a person or an agent joins the workforce, begin with its contribution to the workflow. Define responsibilities, access, required evidence, handoffs and escalation. Decide which scenarios need rehearsal and what evidence the owners need before assigning the work.

A new model, tool or agent capability can change those requirements. So can a change in policy or in the people who own the decisions. Review the affected work, repeat the relevant scenarios and update preparation where needed. Agree the review responsibility and cadence rather than assuming readiness lasts indefinitely.

Task Intelligence is the framework underneath.

Start with the role and workflow. Task Intelligence examines the detailed work within them: where agents can contribute, where people remain responsible, and where both are needed. That understanding informs the redesign, simulations and preparation.
